Kathy Henry, Principle of Kathy Henry Exterior Design, has been designing and overseeing the construction of gardens and landscapes throughout San Diego County for more than 10 years. Each design is unique to the personality of the family and home owner's desires and how they live.
Kathy's professional approach and expertise comes from a lifetime of passion for art and gardens, a Bachelor's degree in Communication and formal education in Landscape Architecture.
Kathy designs all aspects of exterior design including patios, pools, jacuzzis/spas, fire features, outdoor kitchens, pergolas etc.

Let's Work Together!
meet n' Greet
We will meet on site to determine your goals for the space and look at any inspiration photos you may have. We will show you exactly what you will receive throughout the design process including examples of concept drawings & accompanying power point presentation.
Site development
Once you sign on for design, we will come measure the space, take photos and do a complete site analysis. We can further define and review any design objectives at this time.
DESIGN n' Refine
Next we create a scaled hand drawn conceptual plan and present it to you along with plenty of inspiration photos and material samples when appropriate. After plenty of feedback from you, the client, we will create a final plan or refine the plan for further review and feedback. The plan is labeled and appropriate for HOA submittal and estimates from contractors.
Consulting
build
We partner with experienced, licensed contractors for the one-stop-shop design build experience. We will be on-site during crucial periods of the construction process such as pre-demo, chalk out of design, pre-planting visit, planting day, personalized selections of plants at nursery suppliers and any other pertinent periods that need designer opinion.
